India is a riddle that you won’t be able to solve; but you’ll have fun trying. In this world’s largest democracy, you’ll see breathtaking architecture and dilapidated shacks; sacred rivers and rivers of people; aristocrats clad in silk and beggars clamoring for change. There is so much to take in; you’ll never be completely acclimated, but you will be completely invigorated. Whether you're here to soak up India's spirituality or just chill out on the beaches, Remember Travel can set you on a course towards your greatest Indian adventure.

India’s Sun Temple, the most notable marvel of Orissan art in existence, is really a breathtaking sight to behold. Constructed in 1250 AD, the magnificent structure was built as a dedication to the Sun God, Surya. Even though much of the temple now lies in ruin, many of its intricate bas reliefs and sculptures of divinities, humans, and animals are still clearly visible, infusing the ancient structure with life even now. Located on the eastern coast of India in the Konarak region, the Sun Temple is a masterpiece of architecture well worth the time it would take to get there.

There's a good chance you'll meet the Dalai Lama in person if you visit Dharamsala, home of the exiled Tibetan government. While it’s not likely that you’ll be able to arrange a private audience, you will receive a personal blessing if you attend one of his public appearances.

A less spiritual activity, but memorable nonetheless, is watching a Bollywood Blockbuster. Yes, the movies are predictable; the valiant hero and the virtuous woman always end up in one another’s arms, singing a romantic tune. But what is perhaps more entertaining is when the movie audience around breaks out in cheers and whistles, dancing down the aisles and singing along lyrics. Find a local cinema and enjoy the atmosphere.

Like much of India, the city of Delhi is divided between Old and New; quiet and cacophony. It’s a crowded, electric city that shows its age, as well as what it’s becoming. In this imperial city, the young middle class in India are emerging with a new sense of themselves. While their parents may have practiced the virtue of saving, this new generation is freely spending money on everything like fashion, food, entertainment, and electronics. And there’s a lot to be had of all; Delhi has out-of-the-way cafés and five-star restaurants; trendy shops and overcrowded street markets. It’s an essential place to visit on a trip to India.
